What is Wowzer?

Wowzer is a fun, new dating and social app for people who love dogs. Wowzer is the fun way for dog lovers to make meaningful connections.

Where can I download Wowzer?

Coming soon. You will be able to it get it in the iTunes Store, Android and Google store.

How does Wowzer work?

Super easy! Create a profile for yourself, including your dog(s) with photos and all. We’ll match you with people who have similar interests, whether that’s casual dating, meeting new friends, finding love, or just a buddy for dog walks. Start looking, swiping and chatting – just remember to be kind and have fun.

Is your app only for people that have dogs?

Heck no, but it is just for people who love dogs.

Is Wowzer available outside the United States?

Wowzer is currently only available to people who live in the United States.

Is your app only for heterosexuals?

Wowzer is for anyone who’s dog-friendly! We built this app for everyone regardless of gender or dating/friendship preference. If you love dogs and are looking for a fun dating or social app, you’re in the right place.

Yes, because it’s safe and easy. We use Facebook to pull basic information like your name, age, education and interests to create your profile. This not only makes your signup process fast, but also helps ensure that the profile information you see is genuine and reliable.

Are there any rules?

Yes, Wowzer values fun, kindness, respect and safety. User should only post appropriate content. You can find the full set of our rules in our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

How can I change my password?

The login to Wowzer is from your Facebook account, so you’d have to change it there.

What features are free and what do I have to pay for?

While we are in beta, we’re totally free. Once we exit beta, we’ll launch a Premium service which will include cool extra perks like unlimited chats and an “add to favorites” feature.

How do I edit my profile?

Just go to “Settings” from the menu icon in the upper left-hand corner of the app. Then “Modify Profile”. You can edit your profile anytime, including changing your photo or username.

What if I want to change my dog’s profile?

Modifying your dog’s profile is the same as modifying or editing your personal profile. Just go to “Settings” from the menu icon in the upper left-hand corner of the app. Then “Modify Profile”.

Why do I have to show my school or job information?

Providing some basic information like your education or profession will help people get to know you a bit better and help Wowzer find relevant people to connect you with.

Can I change my age?

Um, if you’re 32, you’re 32! Your ID is going to come out eventually. Please be honest.

I’m not seeing or getting a lot of matches in my area, why?

Given that we are a new social and dating app, it may take a bit of time to grow the number of people actively using the app. We are working hard to grow Wowzer, and we would love your help in building this community. If you like the Wowzer experience, please feel free to recommend it to friends and family to help grow our community of dog lovers.

Why am I seeing people from outside my city or general region?

Wowzer will match people based on location as well as other profile criteria. If you are matched with someone outside your city or general region, please let us know, that might be a bug. Please email [email protected] .

I’ve tried to start a conversation with someone I marked as a “favorite” but I’m not hearing back from them. Why?

On Wowzer, to start a conversation with someone, there must first be a mutual “like”. Once two people have “liked” each other, a “match” has been made, and the app allows you to chat. Favorites are only visible to you. To make a match, swipe right and/or thumbs up to “like”.

How can I report someone?

Hit the yellow flag— that is our “Block and Report” feature, and it notifies us and blocks them immediately from interacting with you.

How do I turn off push and sound notifications?

You can edit your profile anytime. Just go to “Settings” from the menu icon in the upper left-hand corner of the app. Then “Notifications”. Make your edits and save.

How do I delete a photo?

Just go to “Settings” from the menu icon in the upper left-hand corner of the app. Then “Modify Profile” to delete your photo.

How can I change my username?

Why was my photo deleted?

Wowzer is constantly combing our app experience to ensure it’s safe, respectful, and fun. If we find questionable content, or if content is flagged by users through “Block and Report”, the content will be removed. It can be removed if it is found to not meet our “Terms of Use” and “Privacy Policy”. Wowzer can delete content at any time if there is a question about whether it meets our requirements or not.

How do I deactivate or remove my account from Wowzer/iTunes Store/Google Play?

You can delete your profile anytime. Just go to “Settings” from the menu icon in the upper left-hand corner of the app. Then “Modify Profile”. Click “Delete App”.
